Robotic Radical Prostatectomy without a catheter (TPR)

(Tubeless Radical Prostatectomy) by UroSurg

The advent of Robotic surgery due to the accuracy it offers has enabled the execution of new surgical techniques during Radical Prostatectomy.

HOOD, SMART, Veil of Aphrodite and retzius Sparing technique involves keeping intact the anatomical structures of the pelvic floor and results in the rapid return of normal urination of men after surgery.

The NeuroSAFE technique concerns the preservation of the nerves and vessels of the prostate responsible for erectile function, which can be saved in cases of advanced prostate cancer with simultaneous oncological safety.

The ARVUS technique concerns the complete restoration of the pelvic floor after the removal of the prostate and provides the necessary support in the anastomosis of the bladder with the urethra for the faster return of continence after surgery.

Combining all modern surgical techniques with the accuracy of robotic surgery, and our experience, patients can now and depending on the rest of their medical profile, can benefit from a minimally invasive surgery, with rapid respiration without the need for a urinary catheter or drainage tube with a return of normal urination from the 2nd-3rd day after surgery.

"Innovation is at the heart of the surgical art and aims to maximize patient well-being. As surgeons, we must provide our patients with personalized and safer treatment with excellent results."

Robotic Partial Nephrectomy

The treatment of renal tumors in the past was done with the radical removal of the kidney. With the evolution of biotechnology such as the DaVinci Robotic System and the use of intraoperative ultrasound, it is now possible to radically remove only the tumor in the kidney while maintaining the organ and renal function even for very difficult, complicated complex and inaccessible tumors. The UroSurg team (Panagiotis Dimopoulos, Spyros Kampantais, George Karidas) having invested in the most modern ultrasound robotic system of the BK company and using the latest generation of Da Vinci X robotic system of agios Loukas clinic, possesses the know-how and experience to deal with even the most difficult cases. The operation is performed with 4-6 small incisions-holes in the upper part of the abdomen. It is the absolute indication in cases of patients with a single kidney the significant impairment of renal function.

Advantages of Robotic Partial Nephrectomy

  1. Expansion of indications for the treatment of even more complex kidney tumors with partial nephrectomy
  2. Not at all the minimum time of ischemia
  3. Decreased blood loss.
  4. Removal of a less healthy renal parenchyma.
  5. Possibility of selective exclusion of the arterial branch of perfusion of the tumor to ensure renal function.
