Short CV

Doctor Tzatzairis Themistoklis was born in 1982 in Kavala but grew up in Alexandroupolis. He was admitted to the Department of Medicine of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, where he graduated in 2010 with the degree "Very Good".

He was a physician of the Armed Forces during his military service in 2010-2011, at the 492 Military Hospital of Alexandroupolis.

In 2011, as part of the general part of the specialty, he was a resident in Surgery at the A' University Surgery Clinic of the Alexandroupolis University General Hospital (AGNA).

After completing the general part, he was a resident in Orthopaedics both at the General Hospital of Kozani and at the University Orthopaedic Clinic of the PGA where he completed his residency.

In 2017 he was awarded a Master's degree (MSc) with the title"Clinical and Surgical Anatomy" and in 2019 after the successful "defense" of his PhD thesis he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (PhD ) of the Democritus University of Thrace.

After completing his residency, he started his specialization in paediatric orthopaedics at the Royal London Hospital (trauma centre) in London (United Kingdom), where he was Paediatric Orthopaedic Senior Fellow for 2 years. In addition, for 12 months he held the position of Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant and was subsequently offered a permanent position at the Royal London Hospital which he declined due to the decision to repatriate.

During his postgraduate training, he was awarded (one of 15 Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellows worldwide) a fellowship by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) which he completed in Orlando, Florida (USA).

He has presented a wealth of research and writing work and is a reviewer in many internationally recognized journals.

After completing a 3-year specialization in paediatric orthopaedics (Royal London Hospital - UK) he decides to return and practice his profession in the city of Alexandroupolis in order to provide high quality health services which should not be considered a luxury, but a basic obligation to patients . Moreover, from August 2022, having already laid "solid foundations" with the Orthopaedic team of TheMIS and the Private Clinic of "Saint Loukas", based in Thessaloniki, he decides to cooperate and offer his services to the pediatric and adult population of the wider region of Thessaloniki. So, with the motto "if you want to go only fast, you will go alone, but if you want to go far, then only together we can", this beautiful journey began with the sole purpose of offering the maximum to the city of Thessaloniki.

Utilizing the know-how and experience of the "abroad", having state-of-the-art medical equipment and being guided by continuous development, it aspires to ensure better health and better life to its patients, young or old!

He is married to Maria Nivatsis who is a pediatrician, with postgraduate training in pediatric allergology, and they have a daughter and a son. In addition to spending his free time with his family, he enjoys photography, traveling and football.
