The Child and Adolescent Centre of St. Luke's Hospital is housed in a newly built, independent wing of the Hospital. Both hospital rooms and common areas have been decorated with vivid colours and kids wall murals, so that hospitalised children feel as comfortable and familiar as possible.
The department, which was recently renovated, has a playroom, a room specially designed for young children, in an effort to entertain and divert our young patients. There, children can play with special wooden constructions, paint, watch movies or children's series on TV, play games on tablets or surf the internet.
The Centre, staffed with excellent and experienced medical and nursing staff, provides comprehensive care to children and adolescents. Inspiring hope and trust, the Centre covers the entire spectrum of paediatric diseases, offering high quality medical services.
The Hospital collaborates with excellent doctors of all paediatric and paediatric surgery-related specialties, such as paediatricians, neonatologists, paediatric surgeons, urologists, ENT doctors, paediatric orthopaedic surgeons, cardiologists, paediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, paediatric ophthalmologists, paediatric gastroenterologists, paediatric endocrinologists, diabetologists and paediatric pulmonologists.
The Child and Adolescent Centre is divided into two main departments, covering both diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases.
The Paediatrics Department provides 24-hour emergency care with a paediatrician and a neonatologist being present around the clock. During the morning hours, St. Luke's Hospital operates the regular outpatient Paediatrics Department which is staffed by paediatricians and supported by the Laboratories on a 24-hour basis. The Hospital accepts all age groups, from infants to adolescents, and treats all General Paediatric diseases.
The Pediatric Surgery Department of the "AGIOS LOUKAS" Clinic provides treatment for diseases that require surgical treatment.
Among other things, it is the only private center, outside Athens, where it is successfully practiced:
-pediatric surgery oncology
-the surgical treatment of anorectal abnormalities
-endoscopic or minimally invasive treatment of obstructive urinary diseases
In the department, which is co-located with the Pediatric Department, diseases of the entire spectrum of Pediatric Surgery and its subspecialties are hospitalized.
