How to make the most of my visit

Below you can find useful tips to prepare for your appointment, but also for what you need to keep in mind during your visit to the Hospital.
Before your appointment
• Gather all the required documents and examinations you may need during your visit.
• Ask for a brief description of your medical history from your family doctor. It can be especially useful to our Hospital doctors, so that they understand exactly your health condition.
• It is important that you know your family history and be able to answer questions that the doctor may ask you.
• Prepare a list of the medicines you have been taking and the allergies you may have.
• Ask for an interpreter in case you do not speak Greek or English when you book your appointment.
• Prepare a list of questions you have and want to ask your doctor.

During your visit to the Hospital
• Be at the appointment on time. It is important to arrive 15 minutes earlier, as you will need to go through the outpatient department secretariat before your doctor's appointment.
• Bring with you a list of the medicines you have been taking and any other information you need.
• Ask questions. Ask for clarifications on any terms or instructions you don't understand.
• Answer honestly to your doctor's questions in order to form the best possible picture of your health.
• You will receive a lot of information. Therefore, it is good to note the instructions given by your doctor.
• Ask your doctor about the next steps. If, for example, you will need to schedule a new appointment.
