George Vergoulidis studied since 2006 at the Department of Medicine of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, where he graduated in 2012. His training as a pediatric surgeon started in December 2012 at the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Klinikum Neubrandenburg Hospital in Germany. The pediatric surgery department of this tertiary hospital is responsible for both pediatric surgery cases covering the whole range, as well as pediatric traumatology and pediatric urology. As part of his training he worked for one year in the Pediatric Clinic and Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital.
After obtaining his specialty title in 2021, he worked as an attending B and from April 2022 as an attending A, in charge of the pediatric traumatology and laparoscopic surgery departments.
He is board certified in upper/lower abdominal, chest and pediatric thyroid gland ultrasound. Upon his return to Greece he settled in Serres, where he operates his private practice.
C. G. Vergoulidis is married to A. Lykoyiannis/Vergoulidou and they have two children. His wife is a general surgeon and their practices are co-located.
