Short CV

My name is Liana Vogiatzi, I am a graduate of the German School of Thessaloniki and I entered the medical school with national examinations. After six years of study, I took the oath in November 2007 at the Aristotle University, with a grade of 7.46.

I completed a five-year residency in general paediatrics at the University Hospital of Bonn and trained in paediatric neurology, neonatology, paediatric endocrinology, allergology, pediatric neurology and paediatric intensive care. In accordance with the official curriculum of the North Rhine-Westphalian Medical Association, I performed numerous ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, skull, hip and soft tissue, and after examination by a three-member board of professors, I received the title of specialist in paediatric and adolescent medicine.

Subsequently, I specialised in paediatric cardiology and congenital heart disease at the Deutsches-Kinderherzzentrum DKHZ, one of the largest centres in Europe, focusing on children with a single ventricle. In addition to the paediatric cardiac surgery intensive care unit for neonates and children, I was trained in the haemodynamic laboratory, where diagnostic and therapeutic catheterisation is performed, and in the outpatient clinic, which receives a large number of cases from all over Germany every day.

In addition, I developed a special interest in fetal ultrasound. After almost four years of training and successful examinations, I obtained an official qualification in paediatric cardiology from the North Rhine medical association at the end of 2019.

I am a PhD student at the University of Bonn and I completed my MSc in v. ultrasound in February 2023 with a thesis on the contribution of ultrasound in fetal and neonatal aortic isthmus stenosis.

After 11 years of hard work in Bonn I returned to Greece with my family. My goal is to offer my country the best possible care to every family using my ten years of clinical experience and my scientific training, always with a focus on the child.
