He was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Secondary School of Thessaloniki and later graduated from the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly.
He obtained his postgraduate degree in Surgery from Universite Montpellier I (France).
He received his specialty title from the 3rd University Orthopaedic Clinic, as well as the title of "Member of the College of Greek Orthopaedic Surgeons" after examinations.
He continued his specialisation in the UK, where he worked as a "Junior Specialist Doctor Higher Trauma & Orthopaedics" at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospitals Birmingham Trust.
He has been an Academic Fellow for 4 years (2014-2018) at the 3rd University Orthopaedic Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with special interest in "Orthopaedics with special experience in Musculoskeletal Trauma", with special interest in Reconstructive Surgery and Musculoskeletal Tumor Surgery. Since then, he has continued as a research associate.
He has received a fellowship for reconstructive surgery from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for two consecutive years for the Hospital Of Special Surgery New York U.S.A "Stavros Niarchos Program- Advances in Arthroplasty Surgery" (2015) Stavros Niarchos Program- Complex Joint Reconstruction (2016).
